Personnel Department is composed of Appointing and Dismissal Section, Appraisal and Training Section, Retirement and Compensation Section. Each section in charge of respective duties and items as follows:

I. Appointing and Dismissal Section:

 1. Organization and configuration of the Chiayi City Government and all subordinate departments, agencies and schools

 2. Appointment, dismissal, relocation and transfer of government employees & public servants

 3. Examination and distribution of public servants

 4. Pay structure and qualification screening of government employees & public servants

 5. Position management and placing positions to series

 6. Management of personnel institutions and personnel officials

 7. Employee Assistance Program(EAP)

 8. Contracted remunerations for teachers

II. Appraisal and Training Section:

 1. Assessment and rewards & penalties

 2. Attendance management

 3. Orientation & training sessions and continuing education

 4. Overseas business trips

 5. Service guarantee

III. Retirement and Compensation Section:

 1. Salary and welfare items of public servants and teachers

 2. Business of respective living allowances

 3. Items of cultural and recreational events held for public servants and teachers

 4. Business of retirement, severance and survivor relief for public servants and teachers

 5. Approval & issuance of the public service and in-service (termination) certificate

 6. Registration and management of personnel data

 7. Supplement business for retirees and expenditure subsidization for retired public servants and teachers’ groups

 8. Condolatory Supplement for Injured, Disabled and Death as a Result of Performing Official Duties

 9. Government employees insurance and national health insurance
